What are the Positive and Negative Impacts On the World?
Rescue robots have helped save the lives of many people who were injured during earthquakes and other natural disasters such as tsunamis and hurricanes. Rescue robots that are used for locating people who are injured have been able to find people more efficiently than if people were to look themselves. The quicker people are found, the likeliness of them having severe injuries decreases. Rescue Robots can also open many job opportunities for mechanical engineers because these robots can break over time. When new designs are developed for these robots engineers are going to have to assemble them. Some disadvantages to using rescue robots are that they can be broken or have a short circuit that will require them to be fixed which may take quite some time. Another big concern for many people is that the rescue robots might take away peoples' jobs, therefore leaving thousands jobless.
Future of Rescue Robots
In the future rescue robots are may be more advanced and have newer features which can aid people who have minor or severe injuries. If rescue robots were able to give first aid to people they will have a greater chance at survival. With the new advances in technology rescue robots may become more efficient at finding and locating people which can hopefully save many more lives.
